1939 Radio transmission in Bangladesh started in Dhaka as part of All India Radio. Initially, the station was located in Nazimuddin Road, old Dhaka. Its maximum transmission range was 45 kilometer. Leila Arjumand Banu performed on the first day of broadcasting. Google | 1960 Dhaka Radio station was moved from Nazimuddin Road, old Dhaka to a modern office in Shahbag with six professional studios and renamed to Radio Pakistan.
